RTP Internacional shifts its programming to match the peek-viewing in America and Asia TV viewers worldwide currently have access to programs broadcast from RTP Internacional 24 hours a day. RTPi's programming schedule does not reflect the time differences across the world, which limits the access of the viewers to a set of programmes specially in the evening. This is the case of those living both in America and Asia . From 7 th March on, when RTP completes its 48 th anniversary, RTP Internacional is reversing this situation in order to match the most expectations of our American and Asian viewers. Thus, for the people living in America , RTPi will make available a dedicated programming to be aired between 6pm and mid-night – New York time. For those living in Asia a new programming schedule will match the TV evening needs between 5pm and 11 pm, Macau and East Timor local time. The remaining 18 hours will be filled up by a common content for the entire world. Even under the time constraints that will ever persist, for example between East and West Coast time in the North America or between Goa and Sydney local time, RTP is highly convicted that these changes stand for a necessary improvement on the service that we all want to offer.
